  • Generally speaking, the following information is usually required by the insurance company and the early submission is expected:

    1. Original insurance policy / certificate.

    2. Copy of travel document(s) (e.g. air ticket / passport) to show the entire trip.

    3. Completed claim form.

    To expedite your claim for special items, please also submit information for the following and take the actions required. 

    Medical and Other Expenses and Personal Accident 

    1. Full description of the sickness or injury sustained.

    2. The original hospital/medical bill(s)/receipt(s) with diagnosis certified by the attending physician.

    3. Police report /accident report, if applicable.

    4. A copy of the death certificate and body disposal certificate if applicable. 

    Baggage and Personal Effects 

    1.The loss/damage reports from the relevant authorities e.g. the airline, hotel or police.

    2. Reporting to the relevant authorities within 24 hours and provide report from the relevant authorities.

    3. Photos showing the extent of damage to the property, if applicable.

    4. All original receipts &/or warranties relating to the loss / damaged property if the property needs to be replaced.  If the damaged property can be repaired, repair receipt(s) should be submitted. 

    Personal Money & Travel Documents 

    1.The original loss report from the police.

    2. Reporting to the relevant authorities within 24 hours.

    3. Any supporting documents showing the value of the cash lost e.g. exchange slip. 

    Delayed Baggage

    1.Written confirmation from the airline regarding the total number of hours of delay of the baggage, with the reason(s) stated.

    2. Original invoices / receipts for the purchased essential items. 

    Travel Delay

    1. Written confirmation from the airline regarding the total number of hours of delay and the reason(s) for such delay.

    2. Copy of air ticket and boarding pass. 

    Cancellation & Curtailment

    1. The reason for cancellation or curtailment of the trip together with the relevant supporting documents.

    2. Original booking invoices together with the original confirmation from the relevant authorities regarding the refundable amount for any prepaid costs or deposits made. 

    Personal Liability

    1. Full description of the incident on the claim form irrespective of whether you have received a claim from the third party or not.

    2. Photos showing the scene of the accident, its environment and the extent of damage of third party property and/or bodily injury of third party.

    3. Any third party correspondence(s), summons or writs, all correspondences received in relation to the incident should be forwarded to the insurance company immediately unanswered.

    4. No liability should be admitted or offer or promise of payment made to the third party without the insurance company’s approval.
